Bubble Bag Wholesale Quotes: Compare Bag, Set and Order Cost

How do you compare bubble bag wholesale quotes fairly? First define the exact contents of one purchasing unit. A price per bag, a price per set and a price per carton are different offers. Compare the same capacity, construction, micron combination and quantity before deciding which quotation meets your order.

This guide focuses on quotation arithmetic and scope. It does not assume that a lower price means a weaker bag, or that a higher price guarantees a longer service life. Those claims require separate product evidence.

Start with a defined set, not the word “set”

The EXTRACTPHYTO bubble bag range includes Canvas & Mesh and All Mesh constructions, individual bags and multi-bag sets. Listed capacities include 1, 5, 10, 20 and 32 gallons. These catalogue choices help describe an enquiry; they do not define the contents of every quoted package.

Write out each micron rating and the quantity of that rating in one set. Then list accessories separately. For example, the 5 gallon All Mesh product is titled “Single Bag”, while its broader description also mentions a pressing screen and carrying bag. Ask which items are included for the exact selected SKU. Do not infer a complete set or accessory entitlement from shared catalogue text.

A comparison sheet that exposes missing scope

Quotation field What to record What to clarify
Sale unit Individual bag, defined set or carton Number of filtration bags in that unit
Product specification Capacity, construction and micron list Whether all suppliers priced the same specification
Order quantity Units per SKU and total bags Whether quantity tiers apply per SKU or across the order
Included items Bags, screens, carrying bags and packaging Which extras are included and which are charged separately
One-time charges Artwork, setup, samples or other quoted charges Whether repeat orders incur them again
Delivery scope Named delivery point and included transport services Which remaining charges the buyer must obtain separately
Validity and timing Quote expiry and stated production lead time What event starts the lead-time clock

A blank field is an unresolved item. Mark it “not confirmed” rather than entering zero. In particular, an unquoted freight cost is not free freight.

Worked example: three different quantities in one order

Illustrative quantities only; these are not EXTRACTPHYTO prices, minimum quantities or recommended configurations. Suppose a buyer requests 80 sets containing four filtration bags each, plus 30 individual replacement bags. The order contains 80 sets, 350 filtration bags, and 110 sale units if each extra bag is sold individually.

The count is (80 × 4) + 30 = 350 bags. If one supplier quotes per four-bag set and another quotes per individual bag, multiplying both prices by 80 would produce a misleading comparison. Convert both proposals to the same complete order scope first. Different micron bags may also have different prices; a blended average does not replace line-item costing.

Use this structure: comparable order cost = sum of confirmed line quantities × their quoted unit prices + separately quoted charges within the agreed comparison scope. Record currency and quotation date. Compare transport-inclusive offers only after aligning the delivery point and included services.

Keep sample cost and repeat-order cost visible

Ask whether a sample charge is separate from production and whether any credit against a later order is explicitly offered. Do not assume a sample price predicts the bulk unit price. Similarly, separate one-time artwork or setup charges from recurring packaging charges so a first order is not compared directly with another supplier’s repeat-order offer.

Once the commercial scope matches, use a sample approval record to establish the physical specification. For branding, the label and packaging approval guide covers the artwork decision. Quotation comparison does not replace either approval.

Questions to settle before accepting the quote

Does “eight micron options” mean eight bags are included?

No. An option list describes available choices. The quotation must state whether you are purchasing one selected bag or a set containing a defined list.

Can I compare cost per bag across different constructions?

You can calculate the arithmetic, but label the products as different alternatives. A Canvas & Mesh bag and an All Mesh bag are not identical specifications, even when their nominal capacity matches.

Should I buy extra bags at the same time as complete sets?

Base that decision on your own replacement and inventory records. Ask for extra bags as separate lines so you can see their cost and avoid changing the set definition.
