Can an all-mesh label tell you how much faster a bubble bag will drain? No. It describes construction. A numerical speed claim needs a defined comparison, identified samples and measured results. Buyers should request that evidence before building a labor or capacity budget around a claimed improvement.
The EXTRACTPHYTO bubble bag range includes different sizes and constructions. This guide concerns purchasing evidence for drainage performance, not extraction recipes or a universal flow rating.

Define the two products before comparing the numbers
The five-gallon All Mesh single-bag listing offers 25, 45, 73, 90, 120, 160, 190 and 220 micron options. Its description distinguishes all-mesh sides and bottom from canvas-sided construction with a mesh bottom. These are product choices, not a measured speed ratio.
A comparison between different micron options cannot isolate the effect of sidewall construction. Nor does matching a gallon label establish matching dimensions or exposed filtering area. Ask for the exact product reference, nominal opening, dimensions, construction and sample condition for each result.
Ask what the report calls drainage time
A report needs a start event and an end event. Time to collect a specified volume is different from time until visible dripping slows. If different endpoints were used, the figures are not directly comparable. Request the original definition rather than guessing from a promotional video.
Check whether the report records elapsed time, average flow or another measure. Average flow calculated as collected volume divided by elapsed time applies to that observation interval. It does not establish a constant flow throughout the entire event or the performance of another bag configuration.
Check the conditions that could change the result
- Identity and condition of each test bag, including whether it was new or previously used.
- Test liquid or other test medium and its recorded condition.
- Starting quantity and how the start and endpoint were defined.
- Support arrangement and which mesh surfaces were exposed or obstructed.
- Whether one bag or an assembled set was evaluated.
- Number of observations, individual results and any excluded runs.
This is a report-review checklist, not an instruction to run an improvised loaded test. The supplier should propose an appropriate, safe evaluation method for agreement. Do not suspend a loaded bag from an unverified drawstring or assume a performance demonstration establishes a lifting rating.
Interpret a multiplier carefully
If a supplier says “twice as fast,” ask whether that means twice the average collected volume per minute or half the time to a fixed endpoint. Those descriptions can be equivalent only when their measurement basis matches. Ask which baseline product was used and whether the result was repeated.
A clean-water observation may help compare a specified test condition; it does not establish behavior with every process material or predict product quality. Likewise, a result for one bag does not automatically describe an entire nested set. Keep the claim limited to the conditions actually evaluated.
Use complete records instead of the best demonstration
Request all agreed observations, not just the shortest time. Look for variation between samples and runs. If results differ materially, ask the supplier to investigate rather than choosing a favorable average without explanation. Agree any repeat-test rules before evaluation so failed observations are not silently discarded.
Link the approved report to the supplied specification. Changes to mesh, dimensions or construction may require another review. The sample approval guide helps record which version was evaluated; the material-document guide covers separate evidence about the finished bag.
Should faster drainage determine the purchase?
Only as one defined requirement. Fit, specification conformity, handling, material documentation and commercial terms still need approval. Do not convert a drainage demonstration into guaranteed labor savings, service life or process output. If comparable reports are unavailable, record performance as unverified and discuss an agreed sample evaluation before a bulk commitment.
